1. Introduction

PoopIt ("we", "our", or "us") is a personal habit-tracking and social competition app. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding your data. By using PoopIt, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

Account information

• Username and avatar emoji you choose during onboarding.
• Apple ID (sign-in only — we never receive your email or name unless you explicitly share them via Apple Sign In).

Session logs

• Date and time of each logged session.
• Duration (in seconds), if provided.
• Location category (e.g. Home, Work, Public) — we do not collect GPS coordinates unless you explicitly grant location permission to tag a drop on the map.
• Rating (1–5) and optional text note, if provided.
• Approximate coordinates (latitude/longitude), only if you choose to use the World Map feature and grant location permission.

Social & group data

• Groups you create or join, and membership information.
• Emoji reactions you send on other users' logs.
• Push notification token, to deliver in-app alerts.

Subscription data

• Purchase and subscription status managed by RevenueCat. We do not store payment card details.

Usage data

• App interactions collected anonymously to improve stability. No personally identifiable usage profiles are built.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To provide and maintain the PoopIt service.
• To display your stats, streaks, and leaderboard position within your group.
• To send push notifications (daily reminders, group activity, achievements).
• To process and verify your premium subscription status.
• To detect and prevent abuse or violations of our Terms of Service.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for advertising purposes.

4. Third-Party Services

• Supabase — database and authentication infrastructure (servers in the EU/US). Supabase Privacy Policy.
• RevenueCat — subscription management. RevenueCat Privacy Policy.
• Apple — authentication (Apple Sign In) and payment processing (App Store). Apple Privacy Policy.

5. Data Retention

Your data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from the Profile tab → Delete Account. Upon deletion, all your logs, group memberships, and profile data are permanently removed from our servers within 30 days.

6. Children's Privacy

PoopIt is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.

7. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Request correction of inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your data (by deleting your account in-app).
• Object to certain processing of your data.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security measures, including encrypted connections (TLS) and row-level security on our database. However, no system is perfectly secure; we encourage you to use a strong Apple ID password.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes via the app or by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
